About Us
The Namibia Business School is a subsidiary under the University of Namibia established to deliver business education to the Namibian Market.
Our Beginning
In 2008, the former president of the republic of Namibia His Excellency Hifikepunye Pohamba assisted by the founding president in his capacity as Chancellor of the University of Namibia, His Excellency Sam Nujoma inaugurated the Namibia Business School – as the unit to spearhead executive business training in Namibia.
Our History
1999
Inception of the Maastricht School of Management
Its inception can be traced back to the year 1999 when Professor Peter Katjavivi, the esteemed Founding Vice-Chancellor of the University of Namibia, collaborated with Professor Mohammed El Toukhy, the former head of the Economics Department.
2002
Introduction of the Executive MBA Programme
The first Master of Business Administration was offered through the Maastricht School of Management in Namibia.
2002
First Cohort of graduates
The Executive MBA Programme has successfully nurtured and empowered over 175 ambitious individuals who have emerged as accomplished graduates, equipped with esteemed diplomas and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration (MBA).
2003
Pioneering plegde of support
The visionary leadership of the late Lazarus Ipangelwa, under the auspices of the FNB Foundation, played a pivotal role in recognizing the significance of this program and providing unwavering financial support. It is this enduring commitment that positions FNB as one of the esteemed Founders of the Namibia Business School.

Emergency of Namibia Business School
The realization of the Namibia Business School owes its gratitude to a collective of exceptional individuals who tirelessly oversaw the development and evolution of the UNAM/MsM MBA Programme, while also nurturing the concept of a comprehensive and fully-fledged business school.
